B.C. Lions sign DB Colby Williams and OL Syrus Tuitele

The B.C. Lions signed former Utah Tech defensive back Colby Williams and former Fresno State offensive lineman Syrus Tuitele on Friday.

Colby Williams is five foot eleven and weighs 205 pounds. The 23-year-old from Amarillo, Texas, made eight tackles and five pass breakups in seven games for the Trail Blazers. Williams played three seasons at Utah Tech (2020-22) with 50 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, one interception for 12 yards, 17 pass breakups, and one fumble recovery in 21 games.

Before Utah Tech, Williams played two seasons at Moorpark College (2018-19) with 38 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions for 28 yards, and eight pass breakups in 17 games for the Raiders.

Syrus Tuitele is six foot five and weighs 316 pounds. The 24-year-old from Chino, California, was with the Memphis Showboats in 2023. The Showboats acquired Tuitele from the Michigan Panthers on December 22nd but was released on April 4th.

Before the Showboats, Tuitele played three games for the Michigan Panthers in 2022. In 2021, he signed with the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent but was released during training camp.

Collegiately, Tuitele played four seasons at Fresno State (2017-20). He played 38 games playing right tackle. In his final season, Tuitele was named Second Team All-Mountain West after helping the Bulldogs lead an average of 479.3 yards per game, and protecting the top passing offense in the Mountain West with 356.3 average yards per game.

To make room for those players, the Lions released running back Tavien Feaster and defensive lineman Nathan Anderson.

Tavien Feaster is six foot and weighs 221 pounds. The 25-year-old from Spartanburg, Kentucky, signed with the Lions in January. Before the Lions, he played two games for Montreal in 2022 with 11 carries for 62 yards.

Collegiately, Feaster played four seasons at Clemson (2016-18) with 222 carries for 1,330 yards, 15 touchdowns, 23 catches for 183 yards, and one touchdown in 41 games. He transferred to South Carolina (2019) with 346 carries for 2,002 yards and 20 touchdowns in 51 games.

Nathan Anderson is six foot four and weighs 250 pounds. The 25-year-old from Toronto, Ontario, signed with the Lions last November. In 2021, Anderson signed with the Edmonton Elks but did not see any action.

The Montreal Alouettes drafted Anderson in the second round (16th pick) in the 2019 CFL Draft. He made four tackles (1 DT, 3 ST) in eight games for the Alouettes in 2019.

Collegiately, Anderson played one season at New Mexico Military Institute in 2016 with 31 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in nine games for the Broncos. Then, he transferred to Missouri (2017-18) with 32 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, one pass breakup, and one forced fumble in 24 games for the Tigers.
