The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed former Calgary Stampeders wide receiver Richie Sindani on Friday. Richie Sindani is six foot two and weighs 220 pounds.

The 27-year-old from Regina, Saskatchewan, made 26 catches for 255 yards, and one touchdown in 13 games for Calgary in 2022. However, in January, the CFL suspended Sindani for two games by the CFL for testing positive for the banned substances Methandienone and Stanozolol. This is Sindani’s first violation but he was released by Calgary on February 14th, 2023.

Then, Sindani signed with the New Orleans Breakers (USFL) a day after his release. He was transferred to the team’s inactive list on March 19th, and activated from the suspended list on March 26th. Unfortunately, the Breakers released him on April 4th, 2023.

The Stampeders drafted Sindani in the eighth round (70th pick) in the 2017 CFL Draft out of the University of Calgary. In four seasons with Calgary, Sindani played 60 games with 92 catches for 986 yards and three touchdowns. He helped Calgary win the 2018 Grey Cup championship.

Before the Stampeders, Sindani played 20 games in three seasons (2013-2015) at the University of Regina with 33 catches for 467 yards and three touchdowns. In 2016, Sindani played eight games for the Calgary Colts (CJFL) with 31 catches for 414 yards and two touchdowns. In 2017, he transferred to the University of Calgary, playing six games with 23 receptions for 280 yards and one touchdown.
