Saskatchewan Roughriders sign former Monarchs WR Jake Herslow

Jake Herslow scores a touchdown for Houston in the 2021 Birmingham Bowl

The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed former Old Dominion wide receiver Jake Herslow on Friday. Jake Herslow is six foot and weighs 185 pounds.

The 25-year-old from Virginia Beach, Virginia, was recently with the Houston Roughnecks (XFL) in 2023. Before Houston, Herslow signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent and attended rookie minicamp.

Collegiately, Herslow played three seasons at Old Dominion (2017-19) with 11 catches for 109 yards in 30 games for the Monarchs. Then, Herslow transferred to Houston in 2021 with 30 catches for 389 yards, and five touchdowns in 11 games for the Cougars.

In the 2021 Birmingham Bowl, Herslow caught five passes for 65 yards, and one touchdown in a Cougars 17-13 win over Auburn.
