The B.C. Lions signed former Winnipeg Blue Bombers defensive back Patrice Rene on Monday. Patrice Rene is six foot two and weighs 206 pounds.

The 25-year-old from Ottawa, Ontario, played one game for the Blue Bombers in 2022 against the Calgary Stampeders in Week 12.

Collegiately, Rene played five seasons at North Carolina (2016-20) with 103 tackles, four tackles for loss, two interceptions, 14 pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 45 games. Then, Rene transferred to Rutgers in 2021 with eight tackles in five games.
