The Repco Supercars Championship and the Dunlop Series concluded the weekend on Sunday at the CARCO.com.au Raceway in Perth, Western Australia for the Bosch Power Tools Perth SuperSprint.
In the eighth race of the Repco Supercars Championship, Coca-Cola Racing by Erebus driver Will Brown started the race on the pole with David Reynolds starting second. Brown beat Reynolds at the line to keep the lead. Reynolds took a hit by Anton De Pasquale and did not contend for the win.
Will Brown dominated to win the eighth race by 6.256 seconds over his teammate Brodie Kostecki. Brown became the fifth different winner of the 2023 season. In addition, it was Brown’s first win since 2021 at Sydney.
The rest of the top ten finishers were James Courtney third, Chaz Mostert fourth, Shane van Gisbergen fifth, Will Davison sixth, Todd Hazelwood seventh, Cam Waters eighth, Matthew Payne ninth, and Andre Heimgartner tenth.
In the second race of the Dunlop Series, Brad Vaughan started the race on the pole with Kai Allen starting second. Vaughan was issued a five-second penalty at the start of the race. It did not get better for him as he was involved in a crash and finished in last place.
Kai Allen led the majority of the race until he went wide as Ryan Wood took the lead and Allen fell to fourth place. Wood would go on to sweep the weekend over beating Aaron Love by 3.8091 seconds. The rest of the top ten finishers were Cooper Murray third, Kai Allen fourth, Lochie Dalton fifth, Jay Hanson sixth, Zak Best seventh, Zane Morse eighth, Matt Chahda ninth, and Aaron Seton tenth.
In the ninth Repco Supercars Championship race, Broc Feeney started the race on the pole with Brodie Kostecki starting second. Feeney dominated race nine, leading all 42 laps for his third career win over Will Brown by 6.880 seconds.
The rest of the top ten finishers were Brodie Kostecki third, David Reynolds fourth, Chaz Mostert fifth, Cam Waters sixth, Will Davison seventh, Tim Slade eighth, James Courtney ninth, and Scott Pye tenth.
The Repco Supercars Championship visit the Symmons Plains Raceway in Launceston, Tasmania, from May 19-21 for the NED Whisky Tasmania SuperSprint.
