The New Jersey Generals (2-1) took on the Michigan Panthers (2-1) on Sunday afternoon from Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. Coming into this game, the Panthers were looking to remain undefeated, while the Generals aimed for their second win of the season.

The Generals scored four touchdowns to defeat the Michigan Panthers 28-13. The two teams are now tied for first place in the North Division.

New Jersey quarterback De’Andre Johnson completed 10 of 15 passes (66.7%) for 180 yards, and two touchdowns. In addition, Johnson led the rushers with ten carries for 98 yards, and one touchdown. Running Back Darius Victor had nine carries for 68 yards, one touchdown, one catch for 51 yards, and one touchdown.

Wide receiver Alonzo Moore led the receivers with one catch for 72 yards and one touchdown. New Jersey’s defense allowed 265 yards, with 65 tackles, five tackles for loss, two sacks, one interception, and ten pass breakups.

Michigan quarterback Josh Love completed 15 of 31 passes (48.4%) for 101 yards, one interception, and three carries for 13 yards. Backup quarterback Carson Strong completed 4 of 9 passes (44.4%) for 62 yards, and one touchdown.

Running back Stevie Scott III led the rushers with 12 carries for 63 yards and two catches for nine yards. Wide receiver Trey Quinn led the receivers with five catches for 61 yards and one touchdown. Michigan’s defense allowed 377 yards, with 48 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble, and one pass breakup.

Next Saturday, the Michigan Panthers host the Memphis Showboats at 7:30 pm on NBC, and the New Jersey Generals host the New Orleans Breakers on Sunday at 3 pm on NBC. Tickets for both games are available on StubHub and Viagogo.
