The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed former Bemidji State linebacker Lukas Ruoss on Tuesday. Lukas Ruoss is six foot three and weighs 230 pounds.

The 27-year-old from Bern, Switzerland, played for the Rhein Fire of the European League of Football in 2022 with 62 tackles, six tackles for loss, three interceptions for 62 yards, one touchdown, three pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 12 games.

In 2021, Ruoss played for the Potsdam Royals of the German Football League with 42 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, four sacks, one interception, one pass breakup, and one blocked kick in eight games.

Collegiately, Ruoss played at West Hills College in 2016 and for American River College in 2017. Then, he transferred to Bemidji State (2018-19) with 64 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, one interception for six yards, three pass breakups, and one fumble recovery in 13 games for the Beavers. He was named to the Fall NSIC All-Academic Team (All-Academic Team of Excellence) in 2019.
