The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed former Oregon State linebacker Kyrei Fisher-Morris on Thursday. Kyrei Fisher-Morris is six foot one and weighs 237 pounds.

The 24-year-old from Tulsa, Oklahoma, made 77 tackles (39 solo, 38 assists), 8.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, one interception, and six pass breakups in 13 games for the Beavers. In the SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl, Fisher-Morris had three tackles and one sack in a win over Florida. He was named All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention and Phil Steele All-Pac-12 Third Team.

Kyrei Fisher-Morris played four seasons at Oregon State (2019-22) with 114 tackles (50 solo, 64 assists), 10.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, one interception, and six pass breakups in 31 games. Before Oregon State, Fisher-Morris played four games in two seasons at Arkansas (2017-18) with one tackle.

At Union High School, Fisher-Morris made 65 tackles with eight sacks as a senior in 2016, including four sacks, with three in the first half, in the 6A state title game to lead Union to a win.

The Roughriders also announced they released linebacker Justin Rice and moved wide receiver Riley Boersma to the retired list.

Justin Rice is six foot two and weighs 225 pounds. The 25-year-old from Modesto, California, made one tackle on special teams in three games for the Roughriders in 2022. He signed with the Roughriders in July of 2022.

Collegiately, Rice played one season at Utah State in 2021 with 124 tackles (61 solo, 63 assists), 13.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, three interceptions for 54 yards, five pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one blocked kick in 14 games for the Aggies in 2021. He was named Second-Team All-Mountain West.

Before Utah State, Rice played one season at Arkansas State in 2020 with 76 tackles (57 solo, 19 assists), 18.5 tackles for loss, seven sacks, and one pass breakup in 11 games for the Red Wolves. He was named First-Team All-Sun Belt Conference in 2020.

In addition, Rice played four seasons at Fresno State (2016-19) with 125 tackles (73 solo, 52 assists), ten tackles for loss, three sacks, two interceptions, ten pass breakups, four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, eight carries for eight yards, and one catch for 11 yards in 31 games for the Bulldogs.

He was named First Team All-Mountain West in 2019 after making 112 tackles (65 solo, 47 assists), eight tackles for loss, three sacks, two interceptions, ten pass breakups, four forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 12 games.

Riley Boersma is five foot ten and weighs 191 pounds. The 23-year-old from Cambridge, Ontario, was drafted by the Roughriders in the eighth round (72nd pick) in the 2022 CFL Draft out of the University of Regina but returned to the Rams for his final season.

Boersma played four seasons in Regina (2018-22) with 73 catches for 1,074 yards, six touchdowns, 12 carries for 86 yards, 11 kick returns for 221 yards, and six tackles in 25 games for the Rams. He is a three-time Academic All-Canadian.
