The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed former Iowa linebacker Barrington Wade on Friday. Wade is six foot one and weighs 232 pounds.

The 25-year-old from Skokie, Illinois, signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2021 and later joined the Denver Broncos practice squad.

Collegiately, Wade played four seasons at Iowa (2017-20) with 23 tackles (11 solo, 12 assists), 1.5 tackles for loss, one sack, two pass breakups, and two interceptions for 28 yards in 33 games for the Hawkeyes, of which four were starts.

In his final season, Wade made 12 tackles (8 solo, 4 assists), one tackle for loss, one sack, two pass breakups, and two interceptions for 28 yards in eight games, of which three were starts.

In high school, Wade earned honorable mention All-America recognition, was named First Team All-State as a senior, earned MVP and Sportsmanship Awards, and was a three-time First Team All-Conference.
