The B.C. Lions signed Wake Forest wide receiver Jaquarii Roberson and Central Michigan defensive lineman Amir Siddiq on Monday.
Jaquarii Roberson is six foot one and weighs 182 pounds. The 24-year-old from Murfreesboro, North Carolina, signed with the Houston Roughnecks (XFL) in 2023 but was released in April. He did not play a game for Houston.
Before Houston, Roberson signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent and later spent time with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Buffalo Bills, and Los Angeles Rams.
Collegiately, Roberson played four seasons at Wake Forest (2018-21) with 146 catches for 2,158 yards, 17 touchdowns, and two carries for eight yards in 40 games for the Demon Deacons. He is a two-time Second-Team All-ACC selection.
Amir Siddiq is six foot two and weighs 245 pounds. The 23-year-old from Detroit, Michigan, played one season at Charlotte in 2022 with 18 tackles (9 solo, 9 assists), 4.5 tackles for loss, and two sacks for the 49ers. He was named All-Conference USA Second Team.
Before Charlotte, Siddiq played five seasons at Central Michigan (2017-21) with 60 tackles (35 solo, 25 assists), 16.5 tackles for loss, eight sacks, and one forced fumble in 39 games for the Chippewas. He earned All-Mid-American Conference Fourth Team honors from Phil Steele in 2021.
