The B.C. Lions signed defensive back Siriman-Harrison Bagayogo and released defensive lineman Isaiah Gay on Wednesday.
Siriman-Harrison Bagayogo is six foot three and weighs 195 pounds. The 25-year-old from Bois-des-Filion, Quebec, was selected in the second round (14th pick) in the 2023 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Bagayogo played three seasons at the University of Guelph (2019, 2021-22) with 49 tackles (40 solo, 18 assists), one forced fumble, two interceptions for 29 yards, one touchdown, four pass breakups, and one blocked kick in 22 games for the Gryphons.
In his final season, Bagayogo made 13.5 tackles (11 solo, 5 assists), one forced fumble, two interceptions for 29 yards, one touchdown, four pass breakups, and one blocked kick in eight games. He is a two-time U SPORTS First Team All-Canadian and two-time OUA First Team All-Star.
Isaiah Gay is six foot three and weighs 245 pounds. The 23-year-old from Nashville, North Carolina, signed with the Lions in November 2022. Before the Lions, he played one game for the Montreal Alouettes in 2022.
Collegiately, Gay played five seasons at Illinois (2017-21) with 134 tackles (74 solo, 60 assists), 21.5 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, eight pass breakups, one forced fumble, three fumble recoveries, and one block on special teams in 51 games.
