The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announced they have placed linebacker Robbie Lowes on the retired list on Wednesday. Robbie Lowes is six foot and weighs 223 pounds.

The 26-year-old from Regina, Saskatchewan, signed with the Blue Bombers a week ago. Lowes did not play in 2022 after suffering a season-ending injury in training camp. The Blue Bombers drafted Lowes in the fourth round (34th pick) in the 2021 CFL Draft. He played two games for Winnipeg in his rookie season.

Collegiately, Lowes played two seasons in Regina (2018-19) with 76 tackles (28 solo, 8 assist), six tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, one interception for two yards, three pass breakups, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and two blocked kicks in 16 games for the Rams.

In his final season, Lowes had 41 tackles (29 solo, 12 assists), 1.5 tackles for loss, one sack, one interception for two yards, one pass breakup, two forced fumbles, and two blocked kicks in eight games.
