The NTT IndyCar Series held qualifying for the GMR Grand Prix on Friday afternoon on the road course at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing driver Christian Lundgaard won his first career IndyCar pole with a lap time of 1:09.3321 seconds at 126.643 mph. It’s the first pole for RLL since Takuma Sato in August 2020 at World Wide Technology Raceway in Madison, Illinois.
Starting next to Lundgaard is Arrow McLaren driver Felix Rosenqvist with a lap time of 1:09.3348 seconds at 126.638 mph. The rest of the top ten starters are Alex Palou third, Jack Harvey fourth, Pato O’Ward fifth, Kyle Kirkwood sixth, Marcus Ericsson seventh, Graham Rahal eighth, Scott Dixon ninth, and Alexander Rossi tenth.
