The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed former LSU offensive lineman Tre’Mond Shorts on Tuesday. Tre’Mond Shorts is six foot five and weighs 340 pounds.

The 23-year-old from Hampton, Georgia recently attended rookie minicamp with the Atlanta Falcons. Before Saskatchewan, Shorts played one season at Louisiana State University in 2022 playing 14 games for the Tigers at left tackle and only allowed one sack.

Before LSU, Shorts played 43 games in five seasons at East Tennessee State (2018-21), of which 41 were starts, including 40 consecutive starts for the Buccaneers.

In 2021, Shorts concluded his career as one of ETSU’s most notable offensive linemen. The offensive line blocked for one of the most historic running performances in program history with 2,775 rushing yards and 32 touchdowns.

In addition, they blocked for 10 100+ yard rushing games, including six games with over 200 yards on the ground. He earned First-Team All-Southern Conference honors in 2020 and 2021 and was named to the Second Team All-SoCon in 2019.

Cole Lamson is six foot six and weighs 296 pounds. The 25-year-old from El Dorado Hills, California, signed with the Roughriders last month. Before Saskatchewan, Lamson played five seasons at UC Davis (2017-21).

Lamson suited up in 37 games playing left tackle for the Aggies. For two seasons (2018-19), UC Davis’s offensive line allowed the fewest number of sacks in the Big Sky Conference. In 2021, Lamson won the Tony Kays Award as the most improved offensive player.

Before UC Davis, Lamson played one season at Sacramento City College in 2016 as a defensive lineman. He made 24 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, one sack, and one forced fumble. He posted a season-high six stops in the State Center Bowl against Diablo Valley College.
