The Hamilton Tiger-Cats released linebacker Jaxson Turner on Thursday. Jaxson Turner is six foot two and weighs 225 pounds.

The 24-year-old from Esko, Minnesota, signed with the Ticats in February. Before Hamilton, Turner went undrafted in 2022. Collegiately, Turner played five seasons at North Dakota (2017-21) with 202 tackles (116 solo, 86 assists), 31.5 tackles for loss, 22 sacks, one interception for six yards, eight pass breakups, six forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and two blocked kicks in 49 games for the Fighting Hawks.

In his final season in 2021, Turner became the all-time sack leader for the North Dakota football team in their Division I era when he made two sacks against Illinois State. That season, he finished with 36 tackles, six sacks, one pass breakup, and one forced fumble in 11 games.
