The Calgary Stampeders released offensive lineman Caleb Benenoch on Friday. Caleb Benenoch is six foot five and weighs 305 pounds.

The 28-year-old from Lagos, Nigeria, but was raised in Katy, Texas, signed with the Stampeders on April 5th. Before Calgary, Benenoch attended training camp for the New York Jets in 2022.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers drafted Benenoch in the fifth round (148th pick) in the 2015 NFL Draft. He played 35 games, of which 22 were starts in four seasons with Tampa Bay.

Then, he had stints with New England Patriots, Carolina Panthers, Dallas Cowboys, Detroit Lions, and Buffalo Bills. Furthermore, he played one regular season game with the New Orleans Saints in 2021.

Collegiately, Benenoch played 36 games in three seasons at right tackle for UCLA (2013-15) including making 35 consecutive starts for the Bruins. In 2015, the offensive lineman surrendered 14 quarterback sacks, the second-lowest total in school history.

In addition, he was named Second Team Freshman All-America by 247 Sports in 2013 and named honorable mention all-conference in 2014.
