Winnipeg Blue Bombers sign two players including All-American Brendan Beaulieu

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed former Bemidji State wide receiver Brendan Beaulieu and Missouri State running back Kevon Latulas on Saturday. To make room for them, Winnipeg released wide receivers Dominick Fiscelli and Michael Young Jr.

Brendan Beaulieu is six foot three and weighs 215 pounds. The 24-year-old from Cottage Grove, Minnesota, made 82 catches for 1,504 yards, and 19 touchdowns in 13 games for the Beavers. He was named team captain, a Division II First Team All-American, and Division II First Team All-Super Region 4 in 2022.

Beaulieu played four seasons at Bemidji State University (2018-19, 2021-22) with 215 catches for 3,725 yards, 38 touchdowns, 23 carries for 85 yards, one touchdown, completed one of three passes (33%) for 75 yards, and one touchdown in 47 games.

In his junior season, he was named Division II All-Super Region 4 after making 76 catches for 1,318 yards, and 13 touchdowns in 13 games. Beaulieu went undrafted in 2023.

Kevon Latulas is six foot and weighs 200 pounds. The 23-year-old from Port Arthur, Texas, had 36 carries for 262 yards, two touchdowns, 17 catches for 192 yards, and one touchdown in 11 games for the Bears in 2022.

Latulas played three seasons at Missouri State (2020-21) with 144 carries for 1,029 yards, six touchdowns, 39 catches for 458 yards, four touchdowns, two kick returns for 34 yards, and one punt return for 41 yards, and one touchdown in 25 games.

Before Missouri State, Latulas played one season at Kilgore Community College in 2019 with 34 carries for 340 yards, two touchdowns, 23 catches for 320 yards, two touchdowns, and one kick return for 20 yards in ten games for the Rangers. The Rangers finished the season 8-2 and Latulas earned honorable mention all-conference honors.

Dominick Fiscelli is five foot nine and weighs 180 pounds. The 24-year-old from Sterling Heights, Michigan, played one season at Northern State in 2022 making 13 catches for 143 yards, four carries for 20 yards, and three kick returns for 68 yards in five games for the Wolves.

Before Northern State, Fiscelli played three seasons at Saginaw Valley State (2017-19) with 38 catches for 474 yards, two touchdowns, eight carries for 44 yards, and three kick returns for 31 yards in 22 games for the Cardinals.

Michael Young Jr. is five foot ten and weighs 195 pounds. The 24-year-old from St. Rose, Louisiana, signed with the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent and later spent time on the Houston Texans practice squad in 2022.

Collegiately, Young played five seasons at Notre Dame (2015-19) with 18 catches for 181 yards, two touchdowns, eight carries for 111 yards, one touchdown, and 12 kick returns for 257 yards in 31 games for the Fighting Irish. Then, Young transferred to Cincinnati (2020-21) with 57 catches for 685 yards, and five touchdowns in 22 games for the Bearcats.

He finished as the team’s leading receiver and was named Second Team All-ACC in 2020 after making 29 catches for 332 yards, and three touchdowns in ten games. In his final season, Young made 28 catches for 353 yards and two touchdowns in 12 games.
