Highlights: NED Whisky Tasmania SuperSprint Sunday Recap

Broc Feeney wins race 11 on Sunday from Tasmania.

The Repco Supercars Championship returned to Symmons Plains Raceway in Launceston, Tasmania, on Sunday to conclude the weekend with races eleven and twelve in the NED Whisky Tasmania SuperSprint. On Saturday, Will Brown won the tenth race.

In the eleventh race, Coca-Cola Racing driver Brodie Kostecki started the race on the pole with Red Bull Ampol Racing driver Broc Feeney starting second.

On the first lap, Shan van Gisbergen collided with David Reynolds and crashed into the tire wall, putting him out of the race for the first time since Townsville 2020. On the fourth lap, Kostecki lost the lead to Will Brown but did get it back on lap 16.

On lap 28, Broc Feeney’s pit crew made a quick pit stop and got him out in front of Kostecki, and beat him by 1.7244 seconds. It was Feeney’s fourth career win.

The rest of the top ten finishers were Will Brown third, Cam Waters fourth, Will Davison fifth, Chaz Mostert sixth, Tim Slade seventh, Jack Le Brocq eighth, James Golding ninth, and Nick Percat tenth.

In the twelfth race, Coca-Cola Racing driver Brodie Kostecki started on the pole with teammate Will Brown starting second.

Will Brown got off to a great start over Kostecki as he had a clean lead heading into turn two. Brown led the opening 23 laps before pitting and his crew made a fast pit stop and got him out ahead over Kostecki by a 2.5-second lead.

On lap 32, Broc Feeney passed Brodie Kostecki for second place. Upfront, Will Brown wins his third race of the season by 3.9922 seconds over Broc Feeney. The win cut Kostecki’s point lead to 87 points.

The rest of the top ten finishers were Brodie Kostecki third, Shane van Gisbergen fourth, Jack Le Brocq fifth, Chaz Mostert sixth, Cam Waters seventh, Mark Winterbottom eighth, Anton De Pasquale ninth, and Bryce Fullwood tenth.

The Repco Supercars Championship heads to Hidden Valley Raceway in Darwin, Northern Territory, for the Betr Darwin Triple Crown from June 16-18.
