The NTT IndyCar Series held qualifying for two days at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indianapolis, Indiana, to set the lineup for the 107th running of the Indianapolis 500.
After the two-day event, Alex Palou became the first Spaniard to win the Indy 500 pole with a four-lap time of 2:33.7037 seconds at 234.217 mph. It’s the third consecutive Indy 500 pole for Chip Ganassi Racing. In addition, his four-lap time speed was the fastest pole speed in history.
Joining Palou on the front row is Ed Carpenter Racing driver Rinus VeeKay with a four-lap time of 2:33.7077 seconds at 234.211 mph, and Arrow McLaren’s Felix Rosenqvist is starting third with a four-lap time of 2:33.7713 seconds at 234.114 mph.
