The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed former New Jersey Generals (USFL) wide receiver Randy Satterfield and released wide receiver Jake Herslow on Monday. Randy Satterfield is six foot four and weighs 210 pounds.

The 27-year-old from Orange, New Jersey, played three games for the Generals in 2023 with three catches for 34 yards in two games, of which one of them he started. The Generals drafted Satterfield in the 17th round (138th pick) in the 2022 USFL Draft.

In the USFL’s first game in 2022, Satterfield caught the league’s first touchdown from quarterback Luis Perez for three yards against the Birmingham Stallions.

Satterfield played nine games, of which two were starts with nine receptions for 124 yards and one touchdown for the Generals.

Before New Jersey, Satterfield signed with the Roughriders in 2020 but the season was canceled. He returned to the team in 2021 but came up short of making the final roster.

He led the Sooner Athletic Conference in receiving yards (867), and touchdown receptions (11).

He was named an NAIA All-American Honorable Mention, and as a First Team All-SAC selection at wide receiver and as a kick and punt returner. In addition, he was named SAC Newcomer and Athlete of the Year.

Jake Herslow is six foot and weighs 185 pounds. The 25-year-old from Virginia Beach, Virginia, was recently with the Houston Roughnecks (XFL) in 2023. Before Houston, Herslow signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent and attended rookie minicamp.

Collegiately, Herslow played three seasons at Old Dominion (2017-19) with 11 catches for 109 yards in 30 games for the Monarchs. Then, Herslow transferred to Houston in 2021 with 30 catches for 389 yards, and five touchdowns in 11 games for the Cougars.

In the 2021 Birmingham Bowl, Herslow caught five passes for 65 yards, and one touchdown in a Cougars 17-13 win over Auburn.
