The Michigan Panthers (3-4) took on the New Jersey Generals (2-5) to close out week seven of the USFL season on Sunday night from Tom Benson’s Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio.

Coming into this game, the Panthers lost four straight games that started against New Jersey back in week three. Meanwhile, the Generals have lost three straight games.

Michigan quarterback Josh Love completed 16 of 29 passes (55.2%) for 264 yards, three touchdowns, and five carries for three yards in a Panthers 25-22 win over the Generals.

Running back Reggie Corbin led the rushers with 20 carries for 78 yards and three catches for 22 yards. Wide receiver Joe Walker led the receivers with five catches for 121 yards and one touchdown. Kicker Cole Murphy made two field goals and converted one of three extra points.

Michigan’s defense allowed 258 yards, with 49 tackles, three tackles for loss, one sack, and two pass breakups.

New Jersey quarterback De’Andre Johnson completed 9 of 14 passes (64.3%) for 89 yards, one touchdown, and four carries for nine yards before suffering an injury. Backup quarterback Kyle Lauletta completed 9 of 16 passes (56.2%) for 112 yards, and two touchdowns.

Running back Darius Victor led the rushers with eight carries for 52 yards, four catches for 29 yards, and one touchdown. Wide receiver Alonzo Moore led the receivers with six catches for 63 yards and two touchdowns.

New Jersey’s defense allowed 373 yards, with 52 tackles, five tackles for loss, one sack, seven pass breakups, and two forced fumbles.
