The Saskatchewan Roughriders brought back wide receiver Isaiah McKoy and signed former Louisville offensive lineman Adonis Boone on Monday. In addition, the Roughriders released defensive back Kendarius Webster.
Isaiah McKoy is six foot two and weighs 200 pounds. The 24-year-old from Brooklyn, New York was released by the Roughriders on May 18th. Before Saskatchewan, he signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent in 2021 and later joined the practice squad of the Indianapolis Colts. In addition, McKoy signed with the Michigan Panthers in 2022.
Collegiately, McKoy played three seasons at Kent State (2018-20) with 123 catches for 1,750 yards, 16 touchdowns, eight kick returns for 139 yards, and one punt return for two yards in 26 games for the Golden Flashes. In 2020, he First Team All-MAC honors after making 25 catches for 455 yards, five touchdowns, and five kick returns for 62 yards in four games.
In 2019, he was named Third Team All-MAC after making 56 catches for 872 yards, eight touchdowns, three kick returns for 77 yards, and one punt return for two yards in 11 games. He finished his career ranked second in school history in touchdown receptions, fifth in receiving yards, and sixth in receptions.
Adonis Boone is six foot five and weighs 303 pounds. The 23-year-old from Daytona Beach, Florida, signed with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent and attended rookie minicamp.
Collegiately, Boone played 47 games in five seasons at Louisville (2018-22) playing right guard and left tackle. In his final two seasons, Boone played 22 games and only allowed one sack in 873 snaps. In 2022, he was part of an offensive line that helped the Cardinals average 201 rushing yards per game, the second-best mark in the ACC.
Kendarius Webster is five foot eleven and weighs 202 pounds. The 26-year-old from Decatur, Georgia, spent time with the New York Jets practice squad in 2021. The New England Patriots drafted Webster in the seventh round (252nd pick) in the 2019 NFL Draft. However, he was released at the end of the training camp.
A day after being released by New England. He was claimed off waivers by the Miami Dolphins. He played eight games in 2019 with 19 tackles and one pass breakup for the Dolphins. In 2020, he was released by the Dolphins and signed with the San Francisco 49ers. He made six tackles and one forced fumble in nine games for the 49ers.
Collegiately, Webster played four seasons at Ole Miss (2014-18) with 125 tackles, eight pass breakups, and three interceptions in 35 games for the Rebels. In his final season, Webster made 33 tackles, six pass breakups, and two interceptions in ten games.
