Alex Palou wins the pole in Detroit

The NTT IndyCar Series held qualifying on Saturday for the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix on the streets of Detroit, Michigan.

Chip Ganassi Racing driver Alex Palou won his third pole of the season with a lap time of 1:01.8592 seconds at 95.734 mph. Starting next to Palou is Team Penske driver Scott McLaughlin with a lap time of 1:02.1592 seconds at 95.271 mph.

The rest of the top starters are Romain Grosjean third, Scott Dixon fourth, Josef Newgarden fifth, Marcus Ericsson sixth, Will Power seventh, Simon Pagenaud eighth, Felix Rosenqvist ninth, and Pato O’Ward tenth.
