Saskatchewan Roughriders adds three players to the practice squad

The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed three Regina Thunder players to the practice squad on Thursday as territorial exemptions. They are offensive lineman Riley Schick, wide receiver Isaiah Woodley, and defensive lineman Max Parkinson.

Riley Schick is six foot one and weighs 299 pounds. The 22-year-old from Regina, Saskatchewan, is entering his second season on the Roughriders’ practice squad. He attended the Roughriders training camp in 2022 and 2023.

Schick played three games in two seasons for the Regina Thunder (CJFL). He helped the offense score the second-most touchdowns in the conference at 30, as well as earn the second-highest net offense per game at 419 yards. He is a two-time PFC All-Star.

Isaiah Woodley is five foot eight and weighs 175 pounds. The 22-year-old from Boston, Massachusetts, played two seasons for the Regina Thunder with 54 catches for 1,009 yards, seven touchdowns, and two carries for eight yards in 14 regular season games. In the playoffs, Woodley caught 21 passes for 258 yards in five games. He was named a PFC All-Star in 2022.

Max Parkinson is six foot two and weighs 276 pounds. The 21-year-old from the United Kingdom, joined the Thunder earlier this month after playing at the University of West England Bullets in 2022 with 43 tackles and 9.5 sacks in nine games.

At the 2023 CFL Combine, Parkinson led all participants (Global and National) with 29 reps on the bench press and led all defensive linemen by clocking 4.74 seconds in the 40-yard dash.
