IMSA Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen Recap

The GTP cars seeing the green flag to start the Six Hours of the Glen on Sunday.

Over the weekend, IMSA visited Watkins Glen International for the Six Hours of the Glen in Watkins Glen, New York.

Watkins Glen hosted two races of the Mazda MX-5 Cup, two races of the Porsche Carrera Cup, two races of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo races, and the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, and the weekend concluded with the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

In the Michelin Pilot Challenge, Turner Motorsport drivers Robby Foley and Vincent Barletta won in GS while KMW Motorsports with TMR Engineering drivers Tim Lewis and Roy Block won in TCR.

In the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, Porsche Penske Motorsports drivers Mathieu Jaminet and Nick Tandy won in GTP, Crowdstrike Racing’s Ben Hanley, Nolan Siegel, and George Kurtz won in LMP2, and Riley Motorsports’ Felipe Fraga, Josh Burdon, and Gar Robinson won in LMP3.

Vasser Sullivan took wins in GTD and GTD Pro with drivers Aaron Telitz, Parker Thompson, and Frankie Montecalvo winning in GTD, and Jack Hawksworth and Ben Barnicoat won in GTD Pro.

Update: The No. 6 Porsche Penske Motorsports was stripped of their win due to a penalty in postrace technical inspection. The No. 25 BMW of Nick Yelloly and Connor De Phillippi are the winners in GTP.
