Cal O’Reilly signs with the Milwaukee Admirals

Former Lehigh Valley Phantoms forward Cal O’Reilly signed a one-year contract with the Milwaukee Admirals on Monday.

Cal O’Reilly is six foot and weighs 187 pounds. The 36-year-old from Toronto, Ontario, earned 18 points (5 goals, 13 assists), and eight penalty minutes for the Phantoms last season. In addition, O’Reilly played two playoff games. Cal O’Reilly played four seasons for the Phantoms with 123 points (36 goals, 87 assists), and 48 penalty minutes in 218 games.

Cal O’Reilly has played 17 seasons in the AHL with the Milwaukee Admirals, Portland Pirates, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, Utica Comets, Rochester Americans, Iowa Wild, and the Lehigh Valley Phantoms collecting 704 points (156 goals, 548 assists), and 182 penalty minutes in 885 games.

In the playoffs, he earned 59 points (15 goals, 44 assists), and ten penalty minutes in 90 career games including playing in two Calder Cup Finals with the Milwaukee Admirals (2006) and Utica Comets (2015).

Cal O’Reilly was drafted by the Nashville Predators in the fifth round (150th pick) in the 2005 NHL Draft. In addition to the Predators, O’Reilly was with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Phoenix Coyotes, Buffalo Sabres, and Minnesota Wild earning 49 points (16 goals, 33 assists), and 14 penalty minutes in 145 games.
