The Houston Gamblers signed kicker Gabe Brkic and long-snapper Logan Klusman on Tuesday. These moves come after the Gamblers released kicker Nick Vogel and long-snapper Ross Reiter.
Gabe Brkic is six foot three and weighs 201 pounds. The 23-year-old from Chardon, Ohio, spent time with the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings.
Collegiately, Brkic played four seasons at Oklahoma (2018-21) converted 57 of 69 field goals (82.6%) with a long of 56 yards, made 159 extra points, 264 kickoffs for 16,249 yards, 130 touchbacks, and three kicks out of bounds in 38 games for the Sooners.
He was named First Team All-Big 12 in 2020, a Second Team All-Big 12 in 2021, and a Lou Groza Award finalist in 2021.
Logan Klusman is six foot one and weighs 233 pounds. The 25-year-old from Lafayette, Louisiana, attended the New Orleans Saints rookie mini-camp in 2023. Collegiately, he played 34 games in four seasons with the Kansas Jayhawks (2016-20). He was named Academic All-Big 12 Football First Team in 2020.
