The Lehigh Valley Phantoms re-signed defenseman Adam Karashik for the 2023-24 season on Tuesday. Adam Karashik is six foot and weighs 201 pounds.

The 25-year-old from Ridgefield, Connecticut, had three assists in 23 games for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, and two points (1 goal, 1 assist) in five games for the Reading Royals last season. The Phantoms signed Karashik as a free agent on April 1, 2022.

Before Lehigh Valley, Karashik played two seasons with the Chicago Steel (USHL) with nine points (2 goals, 7 assists), and nine penalty minutes in 60 games. In addition, he had one assist in ten playoff games helping Chicago win its first Clark Cup over the Sioux City Musketeers 2-1 in overtime, winning the series three games to two.

Collegiately, Karashik played four seasons at the University of Connecticut (2017-20) with 24 points (5 goals, 19 assists), and 99 penalty minutes in 119 games for the Huskies. In his last two seasons at Connecticut, he was an alternate captain in 2019-20, and captain in the 2020-21 season.

Then, he transferred to the University of Notre Dame in the 2021-22 season with 16 points (1 goal, 15 assists), and 26 penalty minutes in 40 games for the Fighting Irish. He was the captain of Notre Dame during the season. Karashik was named to the NCAA Albany All-Regional Team.
