Former Phantoms defenseman Wyatte Wiley signs with Los Angeles Kings

Former Lehigh Valley Phantoms defenseman Wyatte Wiley signed with the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday and will play for their AHL team Ontario Reign.

Wyatte Wylie is six foot and weighs 190 pounds. The 23-year-old from Everett, Washington, scored three goals, seven assists (10 points), and 17 PIM in 45 games for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms last season. In addition, Wylie played three AHL playoff games.

The Flyers drafted Wylie in the fifth round (127th pick) in the 2018 NHL Draft. Before Lehigh Valley, Wylie played five seasons in the WHL for the Everett Silvertips with 31 goals, 121 assists (152 points), and 150 PIM in 272 games. In addition, he scored three goals, ten assists (13 points), and 14 PIM in 43 WHL playoff games. In the 2019-20 season, Wylie had 50 assists, the most by a defenseman.
