The Lehigh Valley Phantoms signed forward Evan Polei on Tuesday. Evan Polei is six foot two and weighs 229 pounds. The 27-year-old from Wetaskiwin, Alberta, earned 20 points (8 goals, 12 assists), and 90 penalty minutes in 52 games for the Manitoba Moose last season. In addition, he played four playoff games with two penalty minutes.

Polei played three seasons for the Sherwood Park Crusaders (AJHL) with one assist and two penalty minutes in nine games. Then, the Saskatoon Blades (WHL) drafted Polei in the 11th round (242nd pick) in the 2011 WHL Draft.

He played four seasons in the WHL with the Saskatoon Blades and Red Deer Rebels with 131 points (72 goals, 59 assists), and 307 penalty minutes in 242 games. In addition, he earned 24 points (13 goals, 11 assists), and 33 penalty minutes in 29 WHL playoff games.

Polei played one season in the ECHL with the Wichita Thunder in the 2017-18 season with 17 points (8 goals, 9 assists), and 79 penalty minutes in 32 games. He also earned four points (3 goals, 1 assist), and 14 penalty minutes in five playoff games.

In the AHL, Polei played eight seasons with the Manitoba Moose, Bakersfield Condors, San Antonio Rampage, and the Cleveland Monsters collecting 82 points (36 goals, 46 assists), and 406 penalty minutes in 234 games. In addition, he earned four points (3 goals, 1 assist), and 22 penalty minutes in 19 playoff games.
