The Montreal Alouettes signed defensive back Randall Evans, wide receiver Ronnie Blackmon, and linebacker Brody Buck on Wednesday.
Randall Evans is six foot and weighs 190 pounds. The 31-year-old from Miami, Florida, played five seasons for the Ottawa Redblacks with 179 tackles (179 solo), four sacks, and two interceptions in 45 games. Before Ottawa, he played one game for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2018 with one tackle.
Evans was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the sixth round (196th pick) in the 2015 NFL Draft. He played one game for them and later had a brief stint with the Los Angeles Chargers.
Collegiately, Evans played four seasons at Kansas State (2011-14) with 210 tackles (157 solo, 53 assists), 10.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, seven interceptions for 42 yards, 35 pass breakups, five forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 51 games for the Wildcats. He was named First Team All-Big 12 in 2014.
Ronnie Blackmon is five foot eleven and weighs 185 pounds. The 25-year-old from Atlanta, Georgia, returns to the Alouettes after signing with them on May 1st but was released 16 days later. He caught 30 passes for 451 yards, five touchdowns, seven kick returns for 150 yards, and 17 punt returns for 160 yards in ten games for the Wolves.
Collegiately, Blackmon began at Colorado (2017-18) on special teams with 23 kick returns for 486 yards, 34 punt returns for 329 yards, and seven tackles in 19 games for the Buffaloes.
Then, Blackmon transferred to Toledo (2019-20). He sat out in 2019 due to transferring from Colorado. In 2020, he caught 12 passes for 149 yards, two touchdowns, two kick returns for 27 yards, and 13 punt returns for 59 yards in six games for the Rockets.
After Toledo, Blackmon transferred to West Georgia (2021-22) with 72 catches for 860 yards, eight touchdowns, one carry for two yards, 24 kick returns for 510 yards, 33 punt returns for 295 yards, one touchdown, and two tackles in 22 games. He was named Second Team All-Gulf South Conference in 2022.
Brody Buck is six foot one and weighs 230 pounds. The 25-year-old from Omaha, Nebraska, made nine tackles (2 solo, 7 assists) in two games for the Birmingham Stallions (USFL) in 2023. The Stallions drafted him in the 31st round (250th pick) in the 2022 USFL Draft. In the first season, Buck made 11 tackles (5 solo, 6 assists), and 1.5 sacks in two games for the Stallions in 2022.
Collegiately, Buck played four seasons at Northwest Missouri State University (2017-19, 2021) with 132 tackles (76 solo, 56 assists), 11 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, one interception for 31 yards, three pass breakups, one forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries in 48 games for the Bearcats.
