The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed offensive lineman Jordan Tucker and released kicker Campbell Fair on Wednesday.
Jordan Tucker is six foot six and weighs 340 pounds. The 24-year-old from Roswell, Georgia, signed with the Roughriders on February 13, 2023, but he suffered an injury during training camp and was released on May 25th. Before Saskatchewan, he signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent in 2022.
Collegiately, Tucker played four seasons at North Carolina (2018-21). He played 45 games, of which 35 were starts at right tackle. In 2021, he started nine games at right tackle.
The Tar Heels’ offense averaged 35.2 points per game (19th NCAA/3rd ACC), 468.2 total yards per game (10th NCAA/4th ACC), including 255.7 passing yards per game (42nd NCAA/6th ACC), and 212.5 rushing yards per game (18th NCAA/2nd ACC in 2021.
Campbell Fair is six foot one and weighs 180 pounds. The 23-year-old from Carrying Place, Ontario, was on the Roughriders practice squad.
Before Saskatchewan, he was with the Calgary Stampeders playing two preseason games converted two field goals with a long of 42 yards before the Stampeders released him on June 3, 2023. The Stampeders drafted Fair in the sixth round (51st pick) in the 2023 CFL Draft.
In his senior season, Fair made 19 of 26 field goals (73%) with a long of 55 yards, converted a perfect 24 extra points (81 points), 47 punts for 1,916 yards with a long of 68 yards, and nine punts from inside the 20-yard line in eight games for the Gee-Gees. He was named OUA Second Team All-Star and the Chris Evraire Award for Outstanding Special Teams Player in 2022.
Campbell Fair played four seasons at the University of Ottawa (2018-19, 2021-22) converting 48 of 68 field goals (71%) with a long of 55 yards, making 69 of 71 extra points (213 points), 98 punts for 3,693 yards with a long of 63 yards, and 14 punts from inside the 20-yard line.
