The Memphis Showboats signed offensive lineman Chance Lytle on Friday. Chance Lytle is six foot seven and weighs 340 pounds.
The 25-year-old from San Antonio, Texas, attended minicamp with the New York Giants in 2023. Lytle played one season at Duke in 2022 playing both right and left guard for the Blue Devils. The Blue Devils’ offense accumulated 2,394 rushing and 3,010 passing yards.
They also helped the running game with 31 touchdowns, which set a new school record. In addition, they gave up the least amount of sacks (17) and tackles for loss (51) in 844 snaps. He was named Academic All-ACC selection.
Before Duke, Lytle played five seasons at Colorado (2017-21) playing 30 games for the Buffaloes. In 2019, he was named to the NFF/Colorado Chapter All-Academic honorable mention team. He played three games in his final season in 2020 before an injury sidelined him for the season. In addition, he was named honorable mention Academic All-Colorado by the Colorado Chapter of the National Football Foundation.
