The Lehigh Valley Phantoms signed forward Alex Kile to a one-year contract for the 2023-24 season on Tuesday. Alex Kile is six foot and weighs 194 pounds.

The 29-year-old from Troy, Michigan, split the 2022-23 season with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms and the Maine Mariners (ECHL). In Lehigh Valley, Kile had four points (2 goals, 2 assists), and 26 penalty minutes in 19 games.

Kile is currently playing Team Patrick of the 3Ice Hockey League with 11 points (6 goals, 5 assists) in six games. Team Patrick has qualified for the championship that takes place this Saturday from Philadelphia at 1 pm on CBS.

Kile is in his second season in the 3Ice League. Last year, he played for Team LeClair in the inaugural 3Ice Hockey League with 22 points (14 goals, 8 assists).

In Maine, Kile had 37 points (15 goals, 22 assists), and 12 penalty minutes in 36 games. In addition, Kile earned five points (5 assists) in six ECHL playoff games. This will be Kile’s third season in Lehigh Valley. In two seasons, Kile has 11 points (6 goals, 5 assists), and 26 penalty minutes in 46 games.

Kile has played five AHL seasons with the Phantoms, Rochester Americans, Utica Comets, Hartford Wolf Pack, and Laval Rocket with 22 points (14 goals, 8 assists), and 39 penalty minutes in 97 games.

In the ECHL, Kile has played six seasons with the Cincinnati Cyclones, Maine Mariners, and Florida Everblades with 205 points (93 goals, 112 assists), and 135 penalty minutes in 241 games. In addition, he has 15 points (5 goals, 10 assists), and six penalty minutes in 19 playoff games.

Kile played for the Green Bay Gamblers for two seasons in the USHL, with 94 points (47 goals, 47 assists), and 80 penalty minutes in 114 games. In addition, he had nine points (5 goals, 4 assists), and nine penalty minutes in 16 USFL playoff games, helping Green Bay win the USHL Clark Cup Champion in 2012.

Then, Kile played four seasons at the University of Michigan (2013-16) and was the captain in his senior year. He earned 80 points (40 goals, 40 assists), and 78 penalty minutes in 130 games for the Wolverines. Kile helped Michigan win the BIG 10 championship in 2016.
