The Lehigh Valley Phantoms signed forward Ryan Chyzowski and goaltender Parker Gahagen to one-year contracts for the 2023-24 season on Thursday.

Ryan Chyzowski is six foot one and weighs 170 pounds. The 23-year-old from Kamloops, British Columbia, split the 2022-23 season with the Toronto Marlies (AHL) and Newfoundland Growlers (ECHL).

In Toronto, Chyzowski had three points (2 goals, 1 assist), and eight penalty minutes in 36 games. In addition, he had three points (2 goals, 1 assist), and two penalty minutes in seven playoff games. With Newfoundland, Chyzowski had nine points (5 goals, 4 assists) in five games, and played three ECHL playoff games.

Chyzowski played two seasons for the Toronto Marlies with eight points (7 goals, 1 assist), and 15 penalty minutes in 59 regular season games. In the playoffs, he’s played seven games with three points (2 goals, 1 assist), and two penalty minutes.

Chyzowski also played two seasons with the Newfoundland Growlers with 37 points (18 goals, 19 assists), and 19 penalty minutes in 34 games. In addition, he had nine points (3 goals, 6 assists), and 14 penalty minutes in 20 games.

Before Newfoundland, Chyzowski played five seasons in the WHL for the Medicine Hat Tigers with 217 points (98 goals, 119 assists), and 109 penalty minutes in 280 games. In addition, he has 12 points (7 goals, 5 assists), and four penalty minutes in 19 playoff games.

Parker Gahagen is six foot two and weighs 194 pounds. The 30-year-old from Amherst, New York, played for the Jacksonville Icemen last season with an 18-8-1 record, a 2.66 GAA, and a .912 save percentage in 33 games. In addition, Gahagen was 2-2, with a 3.18 GAA, and a .891 save percentage in four ECHL playoff games.

Gahagen has played five ECHL seasons with the Jacksonville Icemen, Colorado Eagles, Newfoundland Growlers, Utah Grizzlies, and Florida Everblades with a 58-26-5 record, a 2.30 GAA, and a .920 save percentage in 100 games.

In addition, he is 3-5-1, with a 3.17 GAA, and a .885 save percentage in nine playoff games. He is a member of the 2021-22 Florida Everblades Kelly Cup Championship team.

Gahagen also played one season in the SPHL for the Evansville Thunderbolts with a 3-2 record, a 2.63 GAA, and a .919 save percentage in six games.

In the AHL, Gahagen has played five seasons for the San Jose Barracuda, Toronto Marlies, Colorado Eagles, Milwaukee Admirals, and Hartford Wolf Pack with a 5-4 record, a 3.34 GAA, and a .885 save percentage in 12 games.

Collegiately, Gahagen played four seasons at Army (2013-16) with a 41-49-16 record, a 2.40 GAA, and a .926 save percentage in 110 games for the Black Knights. He is a two-time Second Team AHA All-Conference.
