The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced on Monday they have placed punter Bailey Flint on the suspended list. The team did not disclose why Flint was placed on the suspended list.
Bailey Flint is six foot four and weighs 210 pounds. The 26-year-old from Melbourne, Australia, has 53 punts for 2,371 yards (44.7 AVG), with a long of 78 yards, and two tackles (1 DT, 1 ST) in eight games for the Ticats in 2023.
The Ticats signed Flint on May 4, 2023. He was selected by the Tiger-Cats in the first round (2nd pick) of the 2022 CFL Global Draft.
In his final season in Toledo, Flint had 64 punts for 2,578 yards (40.3 AVG), with a long of 68 yards, five touchbacks, 20 fair catches, 23 from inside the 20-yard line, 13 from 50-plus yards, and one punt blocked in 49 games for the Rockets. He was nominated for the Ray Guy Award as the nation’s top punter.
Bailey Flint played five seasons at Toledo (2017-21) with 209 punts for 8,426 yards (40.3 AVG). His longest punt went for 72 yards, 16 touchbacks, 74 fair catches, 82 from inside the 20-yard line, 33 from 50-plus yards, and one blocked punt in 49 games.
