The Montreal Alouettes signed quarterback Reece Udinski on Monday. Reece Udinski is six foot four and weighs 224 pounds. This signing comes after the Alouettes released quarterback Mike Glass III in June.
The 24-year-old from North Wales, Pennsylvania, signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2023 and participated in rookie minicamp.
Collegiately, Udinski played four seasons at Virginia Military Institute (2017-20) completing 783 of 1,268 passes (61.8%) for 7,877 yards, 48 touchdowns, 27 interceptions, 182 carries for -369 yards, and four touchdowns in 35 games for the Keydets. He finished sixth all-time in Southern Conference history with 7,877 career passing yards.
He set a VMI single-season passing record in 2019 completing 306 of 479 passes (64%) for 3,276 yards, 19 touchdowns, and five interceptions. He was named 2019 Second Team All-SoCon offense on both coaches and media squads.
Next, he transferred to the University of Maryland in 2021 completing 11 of 15 passes (73%) for 100 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in four games for the Terrapins.
Then, he transferred to the University of Richmond in 2022 completing 378 of 515 passes (73%) for 3,614 yards, 29 touchdowns, five interceptions, 72 carries for -10 yards, and four touchdowns in 13 games for the Spiders. He was named the recipient of the 2022 Bill Dudley Award, and named First Team All-CAA.
