The New Jersey Generals re-signed linebackers Kolin Hill and Bryson Young on Thursday.
Kolin Hill is six foot two and weighs 235 pounds. The 27-year-old from Schertz, Texas, made 37 tackles (24 solo, 13 assists), six tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and four pass breakups in ten games for the Generals in 2023.
The Generals drafted Hill in the third round (20th pick) of the 2022 USFL Draft. Hill had 25 tackles (19 solo, 6 assists), one tackle for loss, one sack, and two pass breakups in ten games.
Before New Jersey, Hill played for the Berlin Thunder (ELF) in 2021 with 20 tackles, 11 sacks, five forced fumbles, and one touchdown in ten games.
Collegiately, Hill played one season at Notre Dame in 2014 with seven tackles (3 solo, 4 assists), and 2.5 tackles for loss in nine games for the Fighting Irish. Then, he transferred to Texas Tech (2016-18) with 112 tackles (75 solo, 37 assists), 17 tackles for loss, eight sacks, eight pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 37 games for the Red Raiders. He was an Honorable Mention All-Big 12 in 2017.
Bryson Young is six foot five and weighs 250 pounds. The 25-year-old from Clovis, California, made 29 tackles (21 solo, 8 assists), three tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, one forced fumble, and one pass breakup in ten games for the Generals in 2023.
The Generals drafted Young in the second round (13th pick) of the 2022 USFL Draft. He made 19 tackles (8 solo, 11 assists), three tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks in ten games for the Generals in 2022.
Before New Jersey, Young signed with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent in 2020. He later signed with the Arizona Cardinals but was released on August 30, 2021.
Collegiately, Young played four seasons at the University of Oregon (2016-19) with 73 tackles (30 solo, 43 assists), six tackles for loss, two sacks, one interception, three pass breakups, and one fumble recovery in 49 games for the Ducks.
