The Memphis Showboats re-signed defensive lineman Jeremiah Valoaga on Friday. Jeremiah Valoaga is six foot six and weighs 275 pounds.

The 28-year-old from Oxnard, California, had 17 tackles (10 solo, 7 assists), one tackle for loss, 2.5 sacks, one forced fumble, and one safety in six games for the Showboats in 2023. The Showboats (then the Tampa Bay Bandits) signed Valoaga as a free agent on June 11, 2022, but never played a game.

Before Memphis, Valoaga signed with the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent in 2017. He appeared in one game against the Atlanta Falcons with five tackles and one sack.

Valoaga later spent time with the Miami Dolphins, San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders, and New York Jets. In San Francisco, he played one game against the Atlanta Falcons with two tackles and one pass breakup.

Collegiately, Valoaga played four seasons at UNLV (2012-15) with 87 tackles (43 solo, 44 assists), 19 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, and ten forced fumbles in 39 games, of which 12 were starts for the Rebels.
