The Montreal Alouettes released defensive back Randall Evans on Monday.

Randall Evans is six foot and weighs 190 pounds. The 31-year-old from Miami, Florida, signed with the Alouettes on August 8th and was placed on the practice squad.

Before Montreal, he played five seasons for the Ottawa Redblacks with 179 tackles (179 solo), four sacks, and two interceptions in 45 games. Before Ottawa, he played one game for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2018 with one tackle.

Evans was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the sixth round (196th pick) in the 2015 NFL Draft. He played one game for them and later had a brief stint with the Los Angeles Chargers.

Collegiately, Evans played four seasons at Kansas State (2011-14) with 210 tackles (157 solo, 53 assists), 10.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, seven interceptions for 42 yards, 35 pass breakups, five forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 51 games for the Wildcats. He was named First Team All-Big 12 in 2014.
