The Pittsburgh Maulers re-signed tight end Matt Seybert on Tuesday. Matt Seybert is six foot four and weighs 250 pounds.
The 26-year-old from Traverse City, Michigan, made 13 catches for 118 yards in ten games for the Maulers in 2023, of which four were starts. In the playoffs, Seybert caught two passes for 16 yards. The Maulers drafted Seybert in the 34th round (266th pick) of the 2022 USFL Draft. He made five catches for 34 yards, and one touchdown in four games for the Maulers in 2022.
Before Pittsburgh, Seybert played one season for the Conquerors (TSL) with three catches for 88 yards, and two touchdowns in 2021, and later signed with the Los Angeles Chargers on August 21, 2021, but was released four days later.
Collegiately, Seybert spent one season at the University of Buffalo in 2015 but did not see any action. Then, he transferred to the Michigan State University (2017-19) with 26 catches for 284 yards, and three touchdowns in 20 games for the Spartans.
