The Birmingham Stallions signed defensive end Daniel Joseph on Thursday. Daniel Joseph is six foot two and weighs 261 pounds.
The 26-year-old from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, made eight tackles (4 solo, 4 assists), and two sacks in seven games for the Seattle Sea Dragons (XFL) in 2023. The Sea Dragons drafted Joseph in the seventh round (50th pick) in the 2022 XFL Draft.
Before Seattle, Joseph signed with the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent in 2022. He was also drafted by the B.C. Lions in the first round (4th pick) of the 2021 CFL Draft.
Collegiately, Joseph played three seasons at Penn State (2017-19) with 29 tackles (12 solo, 17 assists), 5.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, one pass breakup, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 32 games for the Nittany Lions.
Then, he transferred to N.C. State (2020-21) with 83 tackles (33 solo, 50 assists), 19 tackles for loss, 11.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles in 23 games for the Wolfpack.
