The IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge were at Virginia International Raceway on Saturday evening for the Michelin GT Challenge at VIR.
Turner Motorsport’s No. 95 BMW of Cameron Lawrence and Robert Megennis won the pole in the GS category, and the No. 17 Unitronic/JDC Miller MotorSports Audi Chris Miller and Mikey Taylor won the pole in TCR.
Late in the race, Tim Lewis brought out a caution with seven minutes left which led to a one-lap shootout. In GS, the No. 71 Rebel Rock Racing Camaro of Robin Liddell and Frank DePew won, and Mikey Taylor and Chris Miller of the No. 17 Unitronic/JDC Miller MotorSports Audi won in TCR.
The IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge heads to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course on Saturday, September 16th, at 4:25 pm on Peacock.
