Philadelphia Eagles acquires TE Albert Okwuegbunam from Denver

The Philadelphia Eagles acquired tight end Albert Okwuegbunam and a 2025 seventh-round draft pick from the Denver Broncos for a 2025 sixth-round draft pick on Tuesday according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Albert Okwuegbunam is six foot five and weighs 258 pounds. The 25-year-old from Springfield, Illinois, played one preseason game for the Broncos on August 27th, against the Los Angeles Rams with seven catches for 109 yards, and one touchdown.

The Broncos drafted Okwuegbunam in the fourth round (118th pick) of the 2020 NFL Draft. Last season, Okwuegbunam caught ten passes for 95 yards, and one touchdown in eight games. Okwuegbunam played three seasons in Denver (2020-22) with 54 catches for 546 yards, and four touchdowns in 26 games.

Collegiately, Okwuegbunam played three seasons at the University of Missouri (2017-19) with 79 catches for 928 yards and 17 touchdowns in 25 games for the Tigers. He decided to forgo his final year of eligibility to enter and declare for the 2020 NFL Draft.

Okwuegbunam was named Freshman All-SEC Team and Second Team All-SEC in 2017. In addition, he was a John Mackey Award Finalist in 2018.
