NTT IndyCar Series Bitnile.com Grand Prix of Portland Starting Lineup

Graham Rahal wins his second pole of the season at Portland International Raceway.

The NTT IndyCar Series held qualifying on Saturday afternoon at Portland International Raceway to set the field for the Bitnile.com Grand Prix of Portland.

Graham Rahal won his second pole of the season for RLL Racing with a lap time of 58.3195 at 121.236 mph. It’s also Rahal’s fifth pole of his career. Joining him on the front row is Team Penske driver Scott McLaughlin with a lap time of 58.3525 at 121.167 mph.

Josef Newgarden crashed during qualifying and will start in 12th place. Meanwhile, Ryan Hunter-Reay, who qualified 19th, was issued a six-position starting grid penalty for an unapproved engine change and will start in 25th place.
