New Jersey Generals quarterback Kyle Lauletta announced his retirement on his Instagram account on Thursday.

Kyle Lauletta is six foot three and weighs 222 pounds. The 28-year-old from Exton, Pennsylvania, completed 38 of 62 passes (61.3%) for 416 yards, three touchdowns, three interceptions, five carries for 25 yards, and one touchdown in four games for the Generals in 2023. The Generals released him on September 7, 2023.

The Pittsburgh Maulers drafted Lauletta in the first round (7th pick) of the 2022 USFL Draft. He completed 31 of 64 passes (48.4%) for 269 yards, and three carries for 18 yards before the Maulers released him on May 25, 2022, and was claimed off waivers by the New Jersey Generals.

Before the USFL, Lauletta was drafted by the New York Giants in the fourth round (108th pick) of the 2018 NFL Draft. He made his NFL debut on December 9th, against the Washington Redskins throwing five incomplete passes.

He played two games for the Giants in 2018 before spending time with the Philadelphia Eagles, Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns twice, and the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Collegiately, Lauletta played five seasons at the University of Richmond (2013-17) completing 682 of 1,072 passes (64%) for 9,381 yards, 66 touchdowns, 31 interceptions, 177 carries for 186 yards, ten touchdowns, one catch for eight yards, and two punts for 64 yards, with a long of 35 yards in 36 games for the Spiders.

He is a two-time Second Team All-CAA, First Team All-CAA, a Dudley Award Finalist to honor the top NCAA football player in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and CAA Offensive Player of the Year.
