The Birmingham Stallions re-signed defensive lineman Willie Yarbary on Monday. Willie Yarbary is six foot three and weighs 295 pounds.
The 27-year-old from Augusta, Georgia, had 33 tackles (14 solo, 19 assists), three tackles for loss, four sacks, one fumble recovery, and one pass breakup in ten games helping the Stallions win their second straight USFL championship over the Pittsburgh Maulers.
The Stallions drafted Yarbary in the 24th round (198th pick) of the 2022 USFL Draft. Yarbary made 35 tackles (15 solo, 20 assists), four tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, and four pass breakups in ten games in 2022 helping the Stallions beat the Philadelphia Stars in the championship game.
Before Birmingham, Yarbary signed with the Toronto Argonauts (CFL) on June 3, 2019, but was released after training camp. He later played for the Massachusetts Pirates (NAL) in 2019 with 4.5 tackles and 2.5 sacks in three games.
Then, Yarbary played for the Conquerors (TSL) in 2021 before signing with the Los Angeles Chargers. He played three preseason games for the Chargers with seven tackles (3 solo, 4 assists).
Collegiately, Yarbary played five seasons at Wake Forest (2014-18) with 116 tackles (65 solo, 51 assists), 21.5 tackles for loss, 12 sacks, two pass breakups, and one fumble recovery in 49 games for the Demon Deacons.
