The Philadelphia Eagles signed linebacker Nicholas Morrow to the active roster and placed linebacker Nakobe Dean on injured reserve on Tuesday.

Nicholas Morrow is six foot and weighs 216 pounds. The 28-year-old from St. Louis, Missouri, signed with the Eagles as a free agent on March 21, 2023. In 2022 made 116 tackles (83 solo, 33 assists), one interception for five yards, and two pass breakups in 17 games for the Bears.

Before Chicago, Morrow played for the Oakland Raiders signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2017. He played four seasons for the Raiders with 254 tackles (185 solo, 69 assists), four sacks, two interceptions for 17 yards, 20 pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 62 games, of which 29 games.

Collegiately, Morrow played four seasons at Greenville (2013-16) with 222 tackles (151 solo, 71 assists), 38 tackles for loss, five sacks, four forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, three interceptions for 41 yards, and one blocked kick in 34 games for the Panthers.

Nakobe Dean is five foot eleven and weighs 231 pounds. The 22-year-old from Horn Lake, Mississippi, made seven tackles (4 solo, 3 assists) last week against the New England Patriots before sustaining a foot injury.

The Eagles drafted Dean in the third round (83rd pick) of the 2022 NFL Draft. In his rookie season, Dean made 13 tackles (9 solo, 4 assists).

Collegiately, Dean played three seasons at Georgia (2019-21) with 168 tackles (89 solo, 79 assists), 13.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, two interceptions for 50 yards, one touchdown, ten pass breakups, and three forced fumbles in 39 games for the Bulldogs.

In 2021, Dean had 72 tackles (36 solo, 36 assists), 10.5 tackles for loss, six sacks, two interceptions, eight pass breakups, and two forced fumbles in 15 games.

He helped the Bulldogs win their first National Championship title since 1980. Dean was named All-SEC First-Team, SEC Defensive Player of the Year, and won the Butkus Award given to the top linebacker in college football.
