Former Phantom Max Willman signs PTO Contract with New Jersey Devils

Former Lehigh Valley Phantoms forward Max Willman signed a PTO Contract with the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday.

Max Willman is six foot and weighs 183 pounds. The 28-year-old from Barnstable, Massachusetts, earned 23 points (9 goals, 14 assists), one short-hand goal, two game-winning goals, and 25 penalty minutes in 54 games for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms last season. In addition, he played nine games for the Philadelphia Flyers with four penalty minutes.

Willman played four seasons in Lehigh Valley with 67 points (32 goals, 35 assists), two power-play goals, three short-handed goals, four game-winning goals, and 85 penalty minutes in 142 games. In addition, he played three playoff games for the Phantoms.

As a member of the Philadelphia Flyers, Willman had six points (4 goals, 2 assists), and 16 penalty minutes in 50 games.

Collegiately, Willman played four seasons at Brown University (2014-17) with 45 points (16 goals, 29 assists), and 32 penalty minutes in 99 games for the Bears. Then, Willman transferred to Boston University in 2018 with six points (1 goal, 5 assists), one short-handed goal, one game-winning goal, and eight penalty minutes in 36 games for the Terriers.
