The Houston Gamblers signed defensive back Justin Ford for the 2024 season on Thursday. Justin Ford is six foot two and weighs 200 pounds.
The 25-year-old from Concord, North Carolina, signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent and later attended rookie minicamp. After the Ravens released him, he signed with the Minnesota Vikings and attended their rookie minicamp.
The Houston Gamblers drafted Ford in the second round (10th pick) of the 2023 USFL Draft. Collegiately, Ford played two seasons at Golden West College in California (2017-18) with 41 tackles (35 solo, 6 assists), four interceptions, and ten pass breakups in 31 games for the Rustlers.
Next, he went to Kansas before transferring transferred to Louisville in 2019 playing three games with one kick return for 61 yards, and one punt return for 27 yards for the Cardinals.
Then, he transferred to Montana State (2020-22) with 74 tackles (50 solo, 24 assists), 5.5 tackles for loss, one sack, 11 interceptions for 134 yards, two touchdowns, 28 pass breakups, one forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries in 23 games for the Grizzlies. He is a two-time FCS All-American, and First Team All-Big Sky at cornerback.
